We have had a bit of a wait for this 3rd installment of Velvet Reed's Matters Of The Heart series, but A Home For My Heart is definitely worth the wait!Sam "Vagina Man" and Ashley have been circling around each other for a while, but finally! At the end of Saving Our Hearts, they got their act together!
A Home For My Heart follows on from the events in Saving Our Hearts, and just like our lovelies, I couldn't keep the smile off my face as I started reading.
But the road to true love is not meant to be easy, and when events occur in Sam's life, it is probably the biggest obstacle they will ever face.
This story took off in a direction that I definitely had not expected - and I loved it! I love a story that surprises me - nothing worse than guessing where a story is going right at the start!
He broke my heart along with Ashley's when he walked away. I ran the full gamut of emotions along with Ashley. I am not afraid to admit that there were many a tear shed last night as I read.
I adored that we got more of Cole, Gracie and Cooper, as well as the rest of their extended families. I loved getting a peek into their lives - as well as getting a bit of a sneak peak as to where the series is going to go next.
And boy, after the sneak peek, I cannot wait for the next story in this series.
A Home For My Heart was a wonderful read that I finished in one sitting. Ms Reed tugged at my heart strings whilst taking me on a wonderful journey.

5 stars. This was a beautiful addition to the series, I absolutely recommend this book buy it you won't be disappointed. And can I say wow for the cliffhanger, definitely did not see that happening. OMG I t wait till the next book comes out.
Thoroughly enjoyed this book and was glad to see a book written for Sam and Ashley.
Books 1 & 2 MUST be read first to understand the background of all the other characters.
Wonderfully written with some sweet as well as HOT scenes. One scene had me reading through my tears.
A must read if you've read the first 2 books. Looking forward to the next in the series!
Love these series of books cannot wait for the next story. There is somthing so special with these books. The love shining through them is addictive, and just make you feel good. The characters are some of the best I've read in a while. You just want to know more about them. I love that velvet does not leave them behind with the past story but intertwines them into the next. I am so glad a friend asked me to read these it has been a wonderful experience.
I have been waiting for Sam and Ash's story since Ashley first called Sam Vagina Man. Their story has been coming over the last two books and this story did not disappoint. The way Ms. Reed steered the story I was thinking at first we were going to wind up with a completely different story than we did. My heart broke for Ashley but I was happy to see Sam pick it up and put them back together. Such a great book.
A Home for my Heart is the author's third book. I had been anxiously awaiting it's arrival to see what would happen between Ashley and Sam. I loved how Velvet kept us up to date with all the characters from the past two books.And, I loved this book!
The book starts out where the last one left off. It begins as Sam and Ashley's relationship develops-as we know from the last book their relationship was very bumpy. I was happy to see them finally admit their true feelings and have that relationship develop. As with most relationships, it doesn't always have a smooth ride. You will have to read the book to see what happens!
Velvet Reed writes with such emotion. I could feel everything that Ashely and Sam went thru. I was locked in from the time it was loaded on my kindle until the very end. I read this book with such speed, I couldn't get enough. It took the author awhile to get this book to us but I want to tell you it was well worth the wait. I can't wait to see what happens in the next book. I hope she is busy penning that book as I write this.
I really enjoyed A Home for my Heart, it's lovely, full of some angst, keeps you on your toes, fills you with emotions and overall makes you smile. Who wouldn't want to feel good after reading a book - this is not a cliffhanger but it does leave you with a foray into her next book.

Sam and Ashley have had their fair share of heartbreak so attempting a relationship together was never going to be easy sailing, particularly when Sam had such a hard time expressing himself or even understanding his own heart.
"I've always refrained from displaying how I truly felt, but I'm learning that it's okay to show that I'm vulnerable ... even though I'm a man."
Tough on the outside, Sam has a world of hurt inside. He's never thought he was worthy of the type of love that Ash has to offer. He broke my damn heart! Ash did too, to be honest, she was just as vulnerable as Sam, just as broken inside. This made for one angsty read!
I devoured this book. I loved every second and cannot wait for more in this series! Beautifully written and totally captivating. 5 heartfelt stars!
I've been waiting so long for Sam and Ashley's story. And to my satisfaction it was well worth the wait ! In this installment the spotlight was on the life and courtship of Sam and Ashley and the insecurities that was contributed by their pass hurts.. Again I love the way the author unravels their individual flaws in order to arrive and the happy ending.. Sam and Ashley's carried the equal passion, chemistry, Understanding and tenderness of the previous reads and that I so love about the series this far... It is highly emotionally disappointing with the love and momentum flattens in a series and I'm so thankful that that did not happen here and I so looking forward to book 4 !!!
